ABOUT TAURI
Tauri grew up with dreams as ambitious as they were anatomical—marine biologist, equine chiropractor, neonatal surgeon. All noble. All scientific. All tragically foiled by an unfortunate incompatibility with, well… science.
Luckily, the creative spark hit hard in college. Tauri discovered she was far better with words than with microscopes and went on to study creative writing and psychology at the University of Texas under the legendary Elizabeth McCracken. Afterward, she sharpened her storytelling teeth in the Writer’s Path program at Southern Methodist University, where she was mentored by authors Suzanne Frank and Kay Honeyman.
In 2021, she was selected as a mentee in the final Pitch Wars showcase—an experience she likens to literary bootcamp with glitter and panic.
By day, Tauri works in Marketing and Events for Austin Way magazine, planning luxe soirées and curating stories for the city’s social scene. By night (and by deadline), she writes emotionally tangled, beautifully haunted fiction—usually with a touch of magic, an immersive setting, elaborate cons, a slow-burn romance, and more ghosts than is probably reasonable.
She lives in Austin, Texas, and is represented by Laura Bradford at Bradford Literary Agency.
